2nd Memorial Lecture For Late President Atta Mills held As Ghanaians Attend despite Demonstration An International Relations Expert, Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas, has described the Late President John Evans Atta Mills as a great leader who is not moved by pertinent criticisms. Speaking at the second memorial lecture for Late President Mills, Dr. Chambas said though President Mills faced strong internal and external resistance, his style as a leader paved the way for him to succeed. Dr. Chambas said the Late Professor Mills played a crucial role in restoring peace and tranquility to Cote d'Ivoire after the post election conflict. Meanwhile, hundreds of Ghanaians despite a nationwide demonstration called by organised labour attended a remembrance and wreath laying ceremony in memory of former President Mills, who died in office two years ago. The ceremony was attended by President John Mahama, Vice President Amissah-Arthur,former President Rawlings and Speaker of Parliament, Doe Adjaho among other dignitaries. In his exhortation, Rev. Dr. Nii Amoo Darku, espoused the virtues of the late President and asked the living to emulate him. He expressed the hope that, though dead, Prof. Mills is still living because he loved God. GBC
