Delegates From Namibia’s National Youth Service. A delegation from Namibia's National Youth Service is in the country to share knowledge and learn from the Ghana National Service Scheme which is the longest on the continent. Speaking in Accra during a courtesy call by the delegation, the Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Tertiary Education, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa said the engagement of tertiary students to do their National Service is one way of dealing with unemployment and a perfect transition of students into the world of work. Mr Ablakwa said as a way to motivate the volunteers, government has increased their allowance by forty percent to help cushion them from economic hardship during their service.
