NACOB intensifies fight against drug trafficking

The Narcotics Control Board has now opened an office at the Kumasi Airport as part of measures to improve the fight against drug trafficking in the country. 

The opening of the office is in view of the increasing domestic air transport, with the Kumasi airport being one of the most patronized regional airports. 

The Ashanti Regional Head of NACOB, Ben Dadzie, who made this known to Radio Ghana in Kumasi, explained that the measure is for the Board to get ahead of drug traffickers. 

Mr Dadzie appealed to Parliament to speed up the passage of the Narcotics Control Commission bill before it, to raise the status and powers of NACOB.
