Mrs Lordina Mahama In Windhoek for Conference Of African First Ladies The First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama, is in Windhoek, Namibia to participate in a Conference of African First Ladies working against cervical cancer. The African First Ladies will review their individual and country efforts, and formulate new strategies towards guaranteeing universal access to the disease prevention and care. The Conference will also consider new plans aimed at ending cervical cancer in Africa by 2030. Through the Lordina Foundation, the First Lady has been partnering the Ministry of Health to ensure a successful pilot stage of HPV vaccination and also breast cancer awareness, screening and testing sessions throughout the country. Mrs. Mahama is expected back home on Thursday. GBC
