UN Security Council Calling For Thorough Investigation.

The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting in Ukraine Today. 

This follows Wednesday's downing of a Ukrainian air force fighter and yesterday's downing of a Malaysia Airlines passenger plane carrying 298 people. 

Britain has proposed a Security Council press statement calling for thorough and independent international investigation into the incident. 

The White House has also called for a credible and unimpeded international investigation as soon as possible. 

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says they are closely monitoring the disaster saying there is the need for a full and transparent international investigation into the plane crash in Ukraine.
