Sekondi Takoradi MCE Exonerated from Newspaper Misappropriation

The Committee set up by the Western Regional Coordinating Council to investigate allegations of misappropriation of thirty thousand Ghana cedis against the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Captain Anthony Cudjoe, has exonerated him of the allegations by an Accra-based private newspaper, the Chronicle. 

The amount was alleged to be money given to him by the Assembly to attend the Seventh World Urban Forum in Columbia. 

At a news briefing in Sekondi, the Regional Minister, Paul Evans Aidoo said the committee`s report described the publication as false since the total expenditure on the MCE`s abortive trip was ten thousand five hundred and ninety-two Ghana cedis, and that he also returned to chest, one thousand four hundred dollars per diem.
