Sekondi Takoradi MCE Exonerated from Newspaper Misappropriation Charges The Committee set up by the Western Regional Coordinating Council to investigate allegations of misappropriation of thirty thousand Ghana cedis against the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Captain Anthony Cudjoe, has exonerated him of the allegations by an Accra-based private newspaper, the Chronicle. The amount was alleged to be money given to him by the Assembly to attend the Seventh World Urban Forum in Columbia. At a news briefing in Sekondi, the Regional Minister, Paul Evans Aidoo said the committee`s report described the publication as false since the total expenditure on the MCE`s abortive trip was ten thousand five hundred and ninety-two Ghana cedis, and that he also returned to chest, one thousand four hundred dollars per diem.
