Transport fares to go up by 15% effective Monday July 14 this was in a statement issued in Accra today.

The statement jointly signed by the General Secretary of Ghana Private Road Transport Union ( GPRTU), Stephen Okudjeto and the General Secretary of the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC), Alhaji Aliu Baba said the new transport fares cover intra city ( trotro), inter city,(long distance )and taxi cabs

The statement urged transport operators to strictly comply and charge only approved fares as well as publish them at the various transport terminals to avoid any confrontation with passengers.
