Tepa residents rush for new NHIS biometric cards The first day of the biometric registration of subscribers of the National Health Insurance Authority at Tepa in the Ahafo Ano North district of Ashanti witnessed a lot of residents trooping to the registration centre to have their data captured. The initial slow network connection which nearly thwarted the registration process was however resolved to allow the process to continue successfully. As at 1 pm on Wednesday when our correspondent was leaving the registration centre at Tepa, about 21 out of the projected 50 applicants for the day, had been successfully registered and issued with their permanent NHIS Membership Card with many others still in a long queue waiting for their turn to register.
