The Daily Graphic is happy that at a time of an apparent shortage of cement on the market, another investor has set up a cement factory in the Free Zone Enclave to complement the activities of existing cement manufacturers. The paper feels the problem of the construction industry cannot be isolated from the general economic malaise in the country. The Graphic is of the view that to resolve the challenges in the construction industry, government ought to take pragmatic measures to put the economy on an even keel. 

The Ghanaian Times writes on Deputy Minister of Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa's alarm on the encroachment of school lands in certain locations of the country. The paper finds it disturbing that the Minister was addressing the people's representatives who are better placed to help check the encroachment, yet do nothing about the situation. To the paper, the problem is solely for government and for that matter the Ministry of Education to tackle. It suggests the communities and their leaders move a step further by contracting the law enforcement agencies to take appropriate action. It also urges government to move beyond fencing the schools, to apprehending and prosecuting the encroachers.
