The Daily Graphic expresses concern about reports of suspected Ebola disease in the country, which it says poses serious health threats to everyone. The paper says, the virus carried by wild animals, can be spread through human-to-human contact. According to the Graphic, intensifying awareness on the risk factors of Ebola can ensure protective measures among individuals to reduce deaths. The paper calls on healthcare workers to apply standard precautions constantly in their contact with patients regardless of their diagnosis. 

The Daily Heritage appeals to the Ministry of Health and other allied agencies to intensify sensitization on the prevention of the Ebola disease. According to the paper, 759 people have been infected in West Africa with the Ebola virus out of which 467 have died with the worst affected countries being Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. 

The Herald says most often the authorities wait until things get out of hands before they start running around. It adds that Ghanaians have become more reactionary than proactive. The paper believes everybody is at risk therefore no amount of education on this deadly virus is enough. 

The Ghanaian Times urges the GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi and the immediate Past Minister of Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, to stop moving from one media house to the other saying all manner of things. To the paper, they are doing this with sheer impudence and careless abandon as if the huge amount of the tax payer’s money meant nothing. The Times says it will be appropriate if the GFA waits for an invitation from the three member committee, headed by an eminent judge of the court of appeal to tell their story.
