ECOWAS Monetary Co-operation Taskforce Presents Recommendations to President Mahama in Accra Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur, has charged the ECOWAS Monetary co-operation taskforce, the team working on the common currency "ECO" to work assiduously to meet the 2020 deadline. President John Mahama and his Niger counterpart Mahamadou Issoufou, were appointed at the extraordinary summit of ECOWAS last year in Dakar to oversee the creation of the common currency in a timely manner. The Taskforce made up of ECOWAS Ministers of Finance, Governors and Deputy Governors of Central banks were at the flagstaff House to present their recommendations. GBC
