Two suspects arrested for possessing 14 compressed parcels of dried leaves suspected to be indian hemp

Personnel of marine , railways and ports upon intelligence visited a drinking bar at european town, Sekondi and arrested suspects Yaw Ackaah aged 39 and a native of Shama and Irene Quainoo at Maame Konuaba aged 42 years and a native of Elimina in the Central Region. 

A search conducted in one of their rooms used as warehouse, 14 compressed parcels of dried leaves suspected to be indian hemp concealed in fertilizer sacks. 

Both suspects admitted ownership of the items and mentioned one Kweku Yaw and Tawiah from Sefwi Bekwai as their source of supply. 

Suspects are in custody and will be put before court after investigations are complete. 

Meanwhile, the exhibits will be sent to the police forensic lab for testing.
