Patrick Osei Antwi conspiring with three others to rob and murder District Chief Executive Yaw Nkoa. A Circuit court in Kumasi has adjourned to Friday July 11, a case in which Patrick Osei Antwi is standing trial for allegedly conspiring with three others to rob and murder the District Chief Executive for Sefwi Akontombra, Yaw Nkoa. Osei Antwi pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit murder and robbery. According to the prosecution, on the 11th of last month, the DCE received a distressed call from Osei Antwi that he and others yet to be identified have been contracted for the sum of 10 thousand Ghana cedis to either rob or kill him without any apparent reason. The prosecution said, the suspect told his conspirators that, he is related to the DCE and so pleaded with them to rather collect 14 thousand Ghana cedis for and on behalf of the conspirators to stop the execution of the planned murder. On the 14th of last month, Osei Antwi called again and the two agreed to meet at Pampaso near Kumasi Kejetia for the deal to be finally effected. The DCE quickly informed the police who rushed to the location and arrested the suspect. The Presiding Judge, Justice Yaw Boampong upheld the request for the adjournment as the counsel for the suspect was not in court. Source: GBC
