Ghana Revenue Authority Suspends Until Further Notice Implementation of VAT on Financial Services

Ghana Revenue Authority, GRA, has suspended the implementation
of the 17-point five percent VAT on financial services originally
scheduled to start July 1 this year until further notice. 

A statement by the Authority says the decision was taken in consultation with stakeholders to allow more public education and adequate time for banks to achieve the desired level of preparedness that will ensure a hitch-free implementation.
