Guta To Call Off Strike

Though interventions by the Ministry of Trade has necessitated executives of the Ghana Union Traders Association (GUTA) to call off their five days strike, traders at the business district and  elsewhere were already opened for business ahead of the directives.

 According to some traders, though the directives by the Union is in their interest, the economic hardship left them no choice but to act contrary to the directives by GUTA. 

The traders also told Radio Ghana's Ewurabena Paha and Grace Odurowaa Boateng that, the Union must tackle the high import duties since it is the bane of the current economic situation.
