Energy Commission Launches "Save A Watt" to Help Promote Energy Conservation

It is estimated that four hundred megawatts of power is wasted annually in the country through inefficient use of electricity. 

To curb this trend, the Energy Commission has launched a campaign christened "Save A Watt" to help promote the energy conservation.

Speaking at the Launch the Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah said the campaign is relevant and timely in view of the shortfall in electricity supply and challenges currently confronting the nation.

He said of the various strategies available to the commission, the efficient use of energy and its conservation has emerged as the best option which can yield immediate result.
