Ban On Adoption Of Children Still in Force - Nana Oye Lithur

983 children who were in orphanages throughout the country, have been re-united with their families.
	
In view of this, 22 orphanages in the country have been closed down. 

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur announced this when her Ministry took its turn at the Meet The Press series in Accra. 

She said the ban on adoption of children is still in force.
