Health Care  In Nadowli

The delivery of quality health care in the Nadowli/Kaleo District of the Upper West Region is being hampered by serious deficit in doctor-patient ratio, infrastructural challenges and means of transport for health personnel in spite of the numerous intervention programmes made in the sector by the government.

 These challenges if not addressed will impede the attainment of Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5 not only in the district but the country as a whole. 
The District Director of Health Florence Angsomwine stated this at the opening of a two day training workshop for Community Health Management Committees and Community Health Volunteers organised by Women Integrated Development Organisation WIDO a local NGO in collaboration with Action for Sustainable Development ASUDEV at Nadowli.
