‘Focus’ on Football Seasons Football has been said to have seasons. These seasons prepare and propel players into the main event of soccer, where they are to give off their best. During the preparatory stage, the players are supposed to be camped, trained, groomed and alert and also forget about other trial interests for the benefit of the teams and the nations they represent as in the case of the World Cup. A former Black Stars Player, Willie Klutse said this on Radio Ghana's Current Affairs Programme, FOCUS, which discussed the performance of the Black Stars in the FIFA World Cup underway in Brazil. Also on the programme was a Sports Commentator and Analyst with the GBC, George Lartey. He said the Black Stars had the opportunity to score more goals against the U.S but missed it. Mr Lartey noted that if they had scored, they would have saved every Ghanaian the pain of calculations and being automatic mathematicians as they progress to the next stage of the competition. GBC
