THE DAILY GRAPHIC: urges Ghanaians to accept that our national budget cannot accommodate all the needs of society. It says this calls for
the prioritisation of issues to commit resources to critical sectors that will help stimulate the economy. The paper says government's indebtedness of 1 point 8 billion cedis  to the bulk oil distribution companies will not only have dire consequences for the industry but
also on the banking industry that extends credit to the importers of
petroleum products. It says in a developing economy like Ghana, the
government still has a responsibility towards the poor, needy and vulnerable. The paper calls on government to open up a public debate on the policy of subsidies so that opinions will come to bear on the policy direction into the future.
 
THE GHANAIAN TIMES:  expresses worry about the country's inability to meet the deadline for digital migration. The International Telecommunication Union ITU has set June 2015 as the deadline to migration from analogue to digital. This the paper says, will improve
broadcasting services and telecommunication qualities.  The paper bemoans the lack of action on the part of government to beat the deadline despite the benefits of digital migration. It says, a delay in digital migration means continues poor telephony and poor quality of television pictures. The paper therefore urges the government and other stakeholders to make sure that Ghana beats the deadline for digital migration.
 
THE TODAY NEWSPAPER: urges Ghanaians to curb indiscipline in our society. The paper says the act of indiscipline in our society has reached the extent that it has affected the body politics of our country. According to the paper former Vice President under Kufour's
regime, Alhaji Aliu Mahama of blessed memory became a crusader against indiscipline during his days as the Vice President of this country. As a nation, we failed to support such a laudable programme which could have shaped our mind sets toward national issues. The paper is therefore appealing to the general public to change the mentality and
do what is expected of us as human beings to save the little money left in the nation's coffers.
