Prez Mahama Charges New Envoys to Promote Socio-economic Cooperation Between Ghana and their Countries



Six Ambassadors and High Commissioners have presented letters of credence to President Mahama, as they begin their duty tours of the country.

They are three resident envoys from Switzerland, Guinea and Britain and three non resident envoys from Rwanda, New Zealand and Venezuela. 

President Mahama, charged the envoys to promote socio-economic cooperation in the areas of trade, transport, mining
and oil and gas between Ghana and their countries. 

He said even though the country is experiencing some economic challenges, it is short-term and the envoys should have confidence in the economy. 

Later this afternoon, President Mahama, will swear in seven new Judges of ECOWAS at Flagstaff House in Accra. 

The 44th summit of ECOWAS held in
Yamoussoukro last February approved the appointment of the Judges.
