Alan Kyeremanteng Picks Nomination Form To Contest NPP Flagbearership Alan Kyeremanten on Wednesday picked nomination forms to contest the NPP flag bearership position. This step silences rumours that he is not contesting the position. Flanked by a former NPP General-Secretary, Nana Ohene Ntow, the former Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Kyeremanten declared his readiness to lead the party and Ghana. Alan who was received and conducted through the process by NPP second vice chairman, Sammy Crabbe, promised to run a clean campaign devoid of the usual acrimony that attends such contests. Amidst chants of his “Alan Cash” by a group supporting his bid, he said the party needs to recapture power, and he has what it takes to achieve that objective. In a more religious tone, he said if it is the will of God that he becomes the flagbearer he will work with all members of the party to ensure victory in 2016. He has long registered his interest to contest the position, having lost previously to Nana Akufo-Addo. Seven persons have thus confirmed their interest in the race - Messrs Joe Ghartey, Francis Addai Nimoh, Asamoah Boateng, Osei Ameyaw, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Nana Akufo-Addo and now Alan Kyerematen, have all picked up nominations forms.
