BECE Rounds
Pupils writing this year's BECE  are generally enthusiastic and poised. A visit by Radio Ghana to some centres in Accra showed a serene atmosphere.

 Officers on duty were satisfied with the process and the composure of the candidates.

 Reports from Tamale say the BECE  started smoothly in all the centres in the Northern Region with a total of thirty four thousand, five hundred and twenty-four candidates taking part in the exams. 

 Out of these,  twenty thousand and sixteen are males, whilst fourteen thousand five hundred and eight, are females.

In the Krachi District, of the Volta Region,  the BECE is said to have started on time. The Volta Regional Minister, Helen Ntoso led a team of  educationist and journalists to visit some of the  examination centres.

 
In the Ashanti Region, the GES Director at Obuasi, Nana Kofi Baffour Awuah said Obuasi is determined to maintain its position as the municipality with the best BECE results .
