Eight Generals Executed By AFRC in 1979 Remembered

A Memorial and Thanksgiving has been held for the eight generals executed by the AFRC in 1979. 

The solemn ceremony at Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra  was attended by major political figures comprising the NPP's 2012 Presidential candidate, Nana Akuffo Addo, and its Chairman, Paul Afoko, the Chairperson of the CPP, Samia Yaba Nkrumah and a leading member of the CPP, Professor Agyemang Badu Akosah, among others. 

In a sermon, the Parish Priest of the Christ the King Church, Rev. Father Campbell asked Ghanaians to eschew hatred and cultivate the habit of forgiveness.
