A Cluster of schools has no single toilet A Cluster of basic schools near the Ghana School of Law at Makola in Accra, has no single toilet for its one thousand three hundred pupils and 60 teachers. The schools are Independence Avenue Basic One and Two Junior High and Bishop Boys’ Primary. Investigation shows that the teachers and pupils use an unkempt public toilet nearby and the only facility that comes close to a toilet is a single urinal for male, female teachers and pupils. The GNA observed that traders and hawkers use the schools as refuge when fleeing from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly Task Force’s intermittent swoop. The schools’ compound also serves as storehouses for some traders, providing temporary parking space for shoppers and a home to some porters. Source: GNA
