FDA bares teeth at unregistered medicine importers 

The Food and Drugs Authority says it is an offence for anyone to import medicines into the country without first registering such medicines with the FDA. 

The Authority explains that samples of the drugs are first brought in for testing before the final importation. 

The Head of Communications of the FDA, James Lartey, told Radio Ghana that registered medicines last for three years after which it is mandatory for re-registering.
