Government, IFEJ hold forum on 2014 budget statement 

The Government of Ghana and the Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists, IFEJ are holding a four day forum on the 2014 budget statement and economic policy which focuses on rising to the challenge and re-aligning the budget to meet key national priorities. 

Speaking at the forum in Accra, Minister of Finance, Seth Terkper said the issue of the budget not having a one year adjustment programme is because it is tied into positive medium term agenda.

He said the context in which the 2014 budget must be discussed or debated on, should be the challenges of the short term projects which do not affect Ghana's medium term prospects.
