Finance Minister tasks GRA to widen tax net 

The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Seth Terkper, has tasked the management of the Ghana Revenue Authority to take measures to increase the percentage of tax payers from its current five percent to a double digit. 

According to him, the situation is totally unacceptable and all efforts must be made to rope in all potential tax payers from the informal sector. 

This was contained in a speech at the opening of an annual management retreat programme for the Ghana Revenue Authority in Kumasi.
