Adopt measures to curb maternal mortality The Greater Accra Regional Director of Health Services, Dr. Linda Van Otoo, has called on government to put in place appropriate measures to curb maternal mortality. She said Ghana continues to record unacceptable rates of maternal and new born deaths which can be prevented. She emphasised the need for NGOs to foster better partnerships with the health sector and advocate strong accountability on the part of health care providers. Dr. Van Otoo made the appeal at the Annual Health Forum organised by the Ghana Coalition of NGOs in the health sector in Accra. GBC
