Government determined to uphold air standards Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur says government is determined to uphold air safety standards to facilitate domestic and international businesses. He said the government expects the country's aviation sector to contribute about 8% to GDP. In view of this, government has directed the Ghana Airports Company to retain its revenue to enable it to expand the sector. Vice President Amissah-Arthur said this when the Minister of Transport, Mrs Dzifa Ativor led the President of the International Civil Aviation Organisation, Roberto Gonzalez, to pay a courtesy call on him at the Flagstaff House in Accra.
