Escalating Tensions- North Korea Banns Entry Of South Koreans

North Korea has banned the entry of South Koreans to a joint industrial complex, a move seen as further escalating tensions. 

Workers are being allowed to leave the Kaesong complex but not cross into it from the South, Seoul's Unification Ministry which confirmed this said the Kaesong zone, is a money-maker for the North and is seen as a key barometer of inter-Korean relations. 

The move came as the US called North Korea's recent rhetoric unacceptable. 

The joint industrial park is home to more than 100 factories. 

More than 50 thousand North Koreans work there, as well as several hundred South Korean managers who request permission on a daily basis to cross into the zone.  

South Korea's government says it deeply regrets the entry ban and urges it be lifted immediately.
