Ghana Revenue Authority To Create Tax Paying Incentives One of the challenges facing the work of the Ghana Revenue Authority is how to get the citizens to pay their taxes for the development of the country. The Executive Director of the Ghana Integrity Initiative, Vitus Azeem says the GRA can only attract more people to pay their taxes if the tax revenue is used for the benefit of all Ghanaians. He insists that people must see visible evidence of what their taxes are used for. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr. Azeem said there is the need to enforce the tax law. Emmanuel Budu-Addo of Action Aid shares the view with Mr. Azeem. He emphasized the principle of value for money and calls for an intensified tax education on the uses of tax monies. Mr. Budu Addo points out that an understanding of tax and its benefits to a State will attract more people to honour their obligations. GBC
