Public advised to ensure maximum protection to avoid flooding The Principal Meteorologist Amos Narh has reiterated the country will experience about normal rains this major raining season. Mr Narh also reminded residents of Accra to desilt the drains to avoid floods. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr Narh said Ghanaians must ensure that they perform their civic duty and not dump refuse in the gutters. Meanwhile, the major rainy season has begun in most parts of Southern Ghana. A farmer and a tractor service operator in Ho, Emmanuel Ashigbey told Radio Ghana that more than one thousand acres of land belonging to small holder farmers have been ploughed for planting. Mr Ashigbey however called for government assistance in the form of subsidised fertiliser and seeds in order to increase food production. GBC
