Government reiterates equal distribution of resources to every part of country President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated that government will ensure equal distribution of resources to every part of the country. President Mahama stated this in a message delivered on his behalf by the Minister of Communications, Dr Omane Boamah at the 37th Congress of the Gonjaland Youth Association at Bole in the Northern Region. He promised the people their fair share of the national cake. He said he is poised to run an open and transparent government while ensuring that poverty and unemployment are reduced to the barest minimum. President Mahama urged the people of Gonjaland to continue with the current peace enjoyed in the area and not allow themselves to be divided by chieftaincy. The Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area, Bolewura Awuladese James Mahama said he will focus on peace, unity and development because they are the key ingredients for the progress of every society. He called for collaboration between the District Assembly, Departments, Agencies and the Bole Traditional Authority to work together in order to bring about development. The President of the Gonjaland Youth Association, Alhassan Dramani said his priority is to protect the environment by ensuring that illegal mining, bush burning and indiscriminate felling of trees are stopped. This he noted will be done in collaboration with the Chiefs, the District Assemblies and the Security Agencies. GBC
