Reports from Tema indicates Christians celebrate Easter in blissful mood 

Christians have attended service in their various denominations in a joyous mood to offer prayers and thanksgiving for Christ’s sacrifice. 

At the First Baptist Church in Tema Community Five, an Associate Minister at the Prayer and Deliverance section, Reverend David Kwame, preaching on theme; the reality and the relevance of the resurrection; said Christians should not see Jesus Christ’s resurrection as an event that should just be celebrated but a reality that should have an impact on their lives. 

Reverend Kwame stated that if only Christians could see the essence of his resurrection as a reality, all their burdens will be lessened. 

The Bishop of the Tema Diocese of the Methodist Church, Right Reverend Winfred Ametefe charged Christians to embrace the resurrection of Christ and live exemplary lives. 

He said since the resurrection has given hope to mankind, all must endeavour to reciprocate by obeying God’s command. 

The Pastor in charge of the Exalted Worship Centre at Community Two, Prophet Robert Sowah said Christ’s resurrection is a sign of hope to every individual and the nation that with God all things are possible. 

The Preacher of the Dodowa Church of Christ, Solomon Annan urged Christians to follow the footsteps of Christ and live in unity with all. He advised the youth not to use the occasion to engage in acts that can affect their future.  

At the La Emmanuel Methodist Church, the Minister in charge, Reverend Emmanuel Ankrah said the day should give assurance to Christians that they have salvation. He said the resurrection should be a turning point in the life and history of mankind.
