Egypt’s Parliamentary Elections To Be Held In October Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi has said that the country's parliamentary elections are likely to be held in October. On the sidelines of the Arab League summit, Muorsi met with oversea Egyptians in Qatar's capital of Doha last night, during which he disclosed that the first session of the People's Assembly would be held before the end of this year. He expected that the Shura Council in upper house of the parliament would complete the draft of parliamentary election law within two weeks and send it to the Supreme Constitutional Court for approval. Yesterday, the Shura Council however approved in principle a new draft election law to regulate the upcoming parliamentary elections. GBC
