Increase In Security Threat In African Sub-Region

Threat to security in the sub-region is said to have increased despite efforts of peace building organisations. 

This has been attributed to the increasing poverty levels and unemployment in many countries.

The Executive Director of WANEP, Emmanuel Bombande, who said this during this year's general assembly of WANEP in Accra, insists that peace building organisations such as WANE, must revise and intensify their operations to address this growing trend. 

They must also become efficient and help compliment the work of government in addressing these basic needs.
