The Daily Graphic endorses the action of the Police to clamp down on the use of motor bikes for commercial purposes popularly known as Okada. This is in line with LI 2180 which makes Okada operations illegal. Notwithstanding this, the Paper calls on the authorities to initiate a debate on the merits and demerits of Okada operations in order to find a suitable system that meets the needs of the people. It adds that discussions on the way forward should centre on devising means to help operators run the Okada business to compliment commercial vehicles within the confines of the road traffic regulations. 

The Ghanaian Times commends the Kaneshie District Police over the arrest of seventy suspected criminals terrorising residents at Kaneshie. The Paper believes the arrest of these suspects is welcoming news to the people who have suffered at the hands of miscreants amongst them. The Times calls on the Police to continue in this effort to hunt down others who might have escaped in the swoop, because if they are allowed to roam freely in the community, they will continue to cause mayhem on innocent people.
