Ayensu Starch Factory Resumes Commercial Production

The Ayensu Starch Factory at Bawjiase in the Central Region has resumed commercial production of cassava starch since December 2011. 

A visit by GBC's Radio Ghana to the factory shows that production is not on a large scale due to the break down of the processing plant.  

The Acting Co-ordinator of the Company, James Biitir, indicated that the Ministry of Trade and Industry is assisting the company to purchase a  processing plant and if things go well production will maximise.
