Debate on the 2013 budget begins today in Parliament.


Debate on the 2013 budget has begun in Parliament. The motion for the debate was moved by the Minister for Finance and Economic Planning, Seth Tekper last Tuesday when he presented the budget before the House.
 
Seconding the debate, the Chairman of the Finance Committee, James Avedzi, said the cedi is now steady due to the pragmatic measures put in by government. 

He said last year, the global economy grew by three-poi-one percent with Ghana's economy growing by seven-point-one percent which he described as remarkable.
