Japan pledges to assist training to enhance decentralisation process 

Japan has pledged to assist Ghana in the area of training to enhance the decentralisation process. 

The Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, Nikai Naoto gave the pledge when he called on the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Akwasi Oppong Fosu. 

The Minister briefed the Ambassador on steps taken to bring government to the doorsteps of the people. 

He said government is focused on taking the people along with it by ensuring their participation in the decision making process.
