1st Ghana Music Week opens in Accra

The maiden edition of the Ghana Music Week has opened in Accra. 

The week long festival has been instituted as an annual event with the aim of promoting Ghanaian music and attracting tourists from across the world into the country. 

The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, in her address, hinted that government is to put up an ultra modern auditorium for the industry. 

She said this is one way of addressing the many challenges that the sector faces.
