Gunmen Attack Let My Vote Count Alliance Spokesperson 

Gunmen,last Friday evening, attacked the home of the spokesperson of a pressure group, Let My Vote Count Alliance,David Asante, in what has been described as a co-ordinated attack aimed at cowing the group and its leadership into submission. 

The gunmen carrying sophisticated weapons fired several times into the house of Mr Asante, who at the time was at his Afienya residence with his wife and a baby, who is a few months old. 

According to the Mr Asante, the gunmen fired several rounds of ammunition into the building for a number of minutes. 

Mr Asante said during the attack on his residence, he made a distress call to the Ghana Police Service. 

However, by the time they arrived, the gunmen had driven away in an unidentified saloon car, with no number plates. 

He said the attack is a clear signal that someone, somewhere, is uncomfortable with the impact the Let My Vote Count Alliance is making in this country and is prepared to go all lengths to kill such initiatives.
