The Daily Graphic welcomes the assurance by the acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, GIPC, that the centre has resolved to focus on local investors to enable them to contribute meaningfully to the economy. The Paper believes many local entrepreneurs are happy to hear such assurance from the Chief Executive of the company established to attract investment into the country. The Graphic believes that if local entrepreneurs are given incentives, the country will gain more as business entities will create more jobs and incomes for the people. The paper therefore urges the leadership of the GIPC to fulfill this pledge of motivating local entrepreneurs to give more support to the economy. 

The Ghanaian Times discusses the rampant increase in alcoholic intake and drug abuse among the youth. The paper says about 28 percent of school drop outs are as a result of alcoholics and 40 percent attributable to drug abuse which shows that the youth involved in drug cases have increased in recent times. According to the paper, this deviant act of the Youth is disappointing and scary which should be a bother to government. The Times calls on government, the Ministry of Education, school authorities and civil society to come together to take the necessary steps to stop the canker to save the young ones from risk and imminent destruction.
