Komfo trickster arrested for murder and stealing A 29-year old fetish pries at Atwedie in the Eastern Region called Kwabena Oduro, also known as Efo, has been arrested by the Police for killing two students and injuring another person. Michael Ofori Adjepong, 21, a student of Kwahu Ridge SHS at Obo and his friend Joseph Nyame were the deceased while the third victim, Emmanual Oti, a student of Ngleshie Amanfro SHS near Kasoa, in the Central Region who was in critical condition, is currently responding to treatment at the intensive care unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi. Briefing newsmen about the incident in Koforidua, the Acting Eastern Regional Police Commander, ACP James Abass Abaah, said on the 19th of February this year, Efo Oduro invited the three young men and promised to double any amount that they were in possession with. He said they could give one thousand 800 Ghana Cedis which they had with the intention of having it doubled. ACP Abass Abaah said when Efo visited the shrine with them, he prepared concoction and sent them to the bush for spiritual bathing which made all the three become drowsy to be butchered. Adjepong and Nyame died while Oti was in coma. The Acting Police Commander said Efo took advantage of that and bolted with their money one thousand 800 Ghana Cedis as well as a laptop to hide at Ziope in the Volta Region. ACP Abass Abaah said the Nkawkaw Divisional Police got the tip off and went to arrest the suspect to bring him to book. He bemoaned the people lust for wealth of late which makes the fetish priest and other tricksters use dubious means to dupe the ordinary innocent Ghanaian citizens. ACP Abass Abaah advised the public, especially the students, to be studious and work hard instead of finding the quick means of amassing wealth. He also revealed the recent robbery case on the Aseseso-Adukrom road and implored the public not to hesitate to divulge information to the crime wave in the country especially in the region. GBC
