Lack of political will affecting gender responsive policies - Professor Akosua Adomako

The Director of the Institute of African Studies of the University of Ghana, Prof. Akosua Adomako Ampofo, has identified the lack of political will as a bane to the implementation of gender responsive policies. 

She said the country has resources to implement policies on gender and vulnerable groups if there is commitment. 

Prof. Ampofo was delivering the inaugural lecture on the topic Gender Politics in Africa and Social transformation at the University of Ghana Legon. 

She said government must make sure that social mobility is equitable and accessible to all.
