1st March, 2013 The Daily Graphic, discuses the need for the country to honour its past heroes. It says politics of contemporary times has now affected the reward system in the country which has slowed the country in recognising the contributions of many Ghanaians to nation building. The Paper thinks people ought to be encouraged to sacrifice for the development of society adding that, those who break their backs to improve society must be rewarded. The Ghanaian Times is worried at the spate of road accidents recorded every other week. It cites the recent accident on the Accra-Winneba Highway in which 12 people lost their lives. To the paper, most of these accidents could be attributed to over speeding, carelessness and alcohol use. The Times believes it is high time drivers became responsible and drive with caution at all times. They should also be vigilant and sober behind the steering wheel. It calls for the erection of more traffic lights on the roads, highways, and strategic points to aid traffic direction and control, while resourcing the MTTU to perform better. GBC
