A Lecturer in Political Science at the University of Ghana, Legon Dr. Evans Aggrey Darko has added his voice to the suggestion that democracy must be deepened by further devolution of powers.
He told GBC`s George Ankrah that Parliament over the years has performed a subservient role to the Executive and this must change despite the hybrid system of government.
He also talked of what the President means by the need to protect the public purse.
On the role of the Judiciary to provide the real meaning of freedom and justice to Ghanaians across board Dr. Aggrey Darko said the situation where technicalities are used to deny the less privileged justice must stop.
Reacting to possible plagiarism by President Akufo Addo, Dr. Aggrey Darko said there is no statement that is made today which has not been made before.
He however said there is the need for the President`s Communicators to be more diligent in their work to such incidence in future.
